heart of Okhaldhunga district, the collaborative efforts among ‘Friends of
Himalayan Sherpa People (FHSP), REED Nepal and Khijidemba Rural Municipality’
have woven a visionary tapestry of change across four schools since 2019. This
transformative project, guided by the spirit of SDGs 4, 5, and 13 targets, Nepal
Government’s long term educational strategic priorities and local government’s
needs, envisions a future where inclusive quality education transcends learning
barriers, gender equality flourishes, and environmental stewardship is
paramount. Through the unwavering support of FHSP, these schools are not just
centers of quality learning but also incubators of empowerment, where every
student's potential is nurtured irrespective of gender, and where the seeds of
ecological mindfulness are sown. This initiative isn't just about textbooks;
it's about creating a symphony of knowledge, equality, and sustainability that
resonates far beyond classroom walls, echoing through the hills and valleys as
a testament to the potential of unity in shaping a brighter, more inclusive,
and environmentally conscious tomorrow. This project has been supported from
American Rotarians who are really passionate towards changes in the lives of
vulnerable people.”
2. NAFA (Nepal
Australian Friendship Association) Project, Dhading:
“Since its
inception in 2018, the transformative educational model schools’ project
supported by the Nepal Australia Friendship Association (NAFA), Australia at
Ganga Jamuna Rural Municipality's seven schools of Dhading district has been a
resounding testament to the power of collaboration and dedication. The project
is fundamentally focused on inclusive quality education, seamlessly integrating
with the principles of ‘Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, and 13’, the
project endeavors have been an unyielding force in shaping the trajectory of
education, gender equality, and climate action. By channeling resources into
these rural schools, NAFA has not only facilitated access to quality education
but has also ignited a spark of empowerment among girls, ensuring that the
flame of gender equality burns brighter, livelihood improving, promotion of
cultural aspects strengthening. Furthermore, the project's staunch commitment
to sustainability resonates through awareness and resilience. As the project's
impact continues to ripple through the community, it stands as an enduring
symbol of positive change, inspiring us all to push the boundaries of
possibility for a more equitable, educated, and ecologically conscious future.”
3. Transforming
Children into Champions (TraC) Project, Kavre:
“The
partnership between the ‘Grande Social Foundation, REED Nepal and Panchkhal
Municipality’ has kindled a profound transformation 5 school’s educational
landscape of Kavre district. Through the dedicated funding of this visionary
collaboration, five schools under the municipality's umbrella are now beacons
of progress, aligning steadfastly with the objectives of SDGs 4, 5, and 13.
This undertaking not only ensures a holistic and inclusive educational
experience for the students but also passionately advances the cause of gender
equality and environmental sustainability. By nurturing an environment where
quality education, gender empowerment, and climate consciousness converge, this
project resonates as a powerful testament to the potential of collective
action. It not only shapes the minds of young learners but also lays the
foundation for a more enlightened, equitable, and environmentally harmonious

4.Strive2Thrive/America
Project, Rupandehi:
“In the
educational landscape of Rupandehi district, a remarkable volunteering project
supported by Srive2Thrive, Ameria, has emerged to illuminate the path of
learning for students within Tilottama Municipality's four schools since
July,2023. With a steadfast commitment to quality education, this project has
harnessed the power of online resources, bridging the gap between students and
virtual learning opportunities for an entire year. Through the unwavering support
from Srive2Thrive, Ameria, these schools have become digital sanctuaries of
knowledge, where the boundaries of physical classrooms are transcended. This
initiative doesn't just offer access to online education; it represents a
broader vision of empowerment, where students are equipped with the tools to
navigate the digital world, expand their horizons, and prepare for the
challenges of tomorrow. As this project continues to unfold, it stands as a
testament to the potential of collaboration and technology in shaping a more
connected, informed, and globally competitive generation.”
5. Western Sydney
University/Australia’s Internship Project:
“Since its inception in 2017, the internship project fostered through the collaborative efforts of REED Nepal and Western Sydney University, Australia, has proven to be a dynamic channel for nurturing cross-cultural connections and knowledge exchange. This partnership exemplifies the essence of people-to-people relations, seamlessly intertwining the strengths of Nepal and Australia. As interns from Australia engage in a reciprocal journey of learning, the project not only promotes a deepened understanding of each other's cultures but also serves as a platform for the exchange of best practices. By bridging geographical boundaries, this initiative has not only enriched individual experiences but has also contributed to a broader narrative of global collaboration. As it continues to thrive, this internship project remains a living embodiment of the transformative power of intercultural interactions and shared learning.”
6. BTO: Child Monitoring and Mentoring Project (Kaski,
Banke, Dhanusa & Parsa):
Monitoring and Mentoring Project’ where Beyond the Orphanage and REED Nepal’s
partnership approach extends to various programs aimed at supporting vulnerable
children across Nepal. Through the collaboration with esteemed organizations of
Nepal: RHERI, Sano Ghar Homes, and Star Children & Kode Home, the
project strives to provide comprehensive care and support to children in need.
Whether it's through ‘Nawajiwan Program’, which focuses on empowering children
living with families in rural areas surrounding Pokhara or Kode Home
initiative, providing a nurturing environment for children in Pokhara or Star
Children or Sano Ghar Homes or RHERI, the partnership’s objective
remains consistent: to ensure the well-being and development of every child
under partnership’s care. The partnership emphasizes not only providing
essential mentorship but also fostering a supportive environment where children
feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential, reflects the
joint commitment to reaching children across different settings and ensuring
their holistic development. Through strategic partnerships and a focus on
sustainable outcomes, we aim to create lasting positive impacts in the lives of
the children, nurturing them into empowered individuals ready to thrive in the
communities of Nepal.
